No: N011: Gwili Railway
This wagon was being promoted to help with the extension of the railway from Bronwydd Arms station, southward to a new station to be built at the junction of the A484 and A40 on Carmarthen's By-Pass. This will basically double the length of the operating railway.
Work on the extension is proceeding with clearance of the undergrowth done, and about 600 yards of track laid between 2006 and 2008.
Slowly, but surely, we are getting there, despite the Heritage Lottery Fund not giving us a grant for the station because "there was never a station at this site, so it cannot be 'heritage'."
