As usual each year I produce a wagon for friends and relatives to give the railway modeller/collector as a gift for Christmas. In 2009 this was the Glan Garnant Colliery wagon from the Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen branch near Ammanford.
141 pristine and 70 weathered wagons were produced by Dapol and released in early December 2009 - though the identity was kept secret until after Christmas Day - well mostly!
Examples of this model were on sale at the Amman Valley Railway Society shops in the area concerned - eg Pontardawe - and these raised funds for the Society.
The models were also on sale on the Teifi Valley Railway and the Gwili Railway.
