No: 54: Toomer's of Reading

This wagon was released for the Loddon Vale MRC Show at Arborfield, Berkshire on May 12, 2007.  It unexpectedly arrived early in April in both 'mint' (87 models) and 'weathered' (86 models) variations.  Even more surprisingly, the mint copies sold out by the 2nd May!

Toomer's were a well-known coal merchants of Berkshire - indeed they may still be so.   Their coal wagons were a common site next to the Huntley & Palmers yard to the east of the main Reading stations.

The photograph is of one of the mint condition wagons.  These wagons were produced without any running number which were meant to be applied by transfers.  However I could not do this on the weathered variants - so they remained numberless.

Quantity:  at  £0.00  each
