No: 42: Gwili Railway Coal Wagon

No: 42: Gwili Railway Coal Wagon

No: 42: Gwili Railway Coal Wagon

Released on June 5 2006 sold out by myself on August 5
Also sold out by the Railway by the end of August 2006

This wagon was released for the Gwili Railway for which I am managing the shop.

Having struggled to find an authentic-looking design I found that Dapols release in March of the "Whitwood Colliery" wagon was one that I felt would appeal to the tourists who visit the railway, as well as to the more serious modeller.

This is obviously a fictitious wagon to promote the Railway.

A sum of money from the sale of each wagon went towards the Railway's project to extend the railway from Bronwydd Arms down to Carmarthen North - located alongside the by-pass on the A40.

80 of these 120 wagons were being sold by the shop - the remaining 40 wagons were sold by myself, but none of these are left.

Why not visit the Gwili Railway Web Site at

I plan on releasing an identical coal wagon next year and a van - both using the same livery.

Quantity:  at  £0.00  each
