I was led to believe that this brewery was owned by the Mwrwg Vale Colliery and hence that name appears on the wagon as well. Apparently whilst the colliery had plenty of their own wagons, they arranged a few to have their brewery's name on them to advertise the beer. However I know have learnt from the Brewery, that it was the Brewery that owned the coal mine!
Llangennech is located near Llanelli and the Brewery is still going strong.
160 of these seven plank coal wagons were produced by Dapol.
However, although I have sold out of these, a batch of these wagons was sold by the Brewery (01554 773357) and were also sold by Voyles model (and TV repair) shop on the outskirts of Llanelli - Trostre Ind Park (01554 749200) - but sorry to say that all these models have sold out.
Each wagon has a running numbered applied using transfers, so those who ordered more than one got differently numbered wagons.
