As from June 16th 2011 I can take payment by Credit and Debit Cards.
OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS
There is no change for you, as the majority of you use Paypal anyway. Only those who send me cheques may wish to contact me by email to westwaleswagonworks@yahoo.co.uk to discuss alternative ways of payment.
UK CUSTOMERS
Many of you use Paypal, but in fact this method is relatively expensive compared to either credit or debit cards. Therefore, I will be making it the preferred method to use the cards instead.
Until advised otherwise, please place orders as normal, but at the CHECKOUT stage, take the option to PAY BY POST. I will then get an email to inform me about your order. Then at a convenient time, NOT SUNDAYS nor AFTER EIGHT PM please, you can phone me with your card details - have the card handy when you call.
I will then process the order and send the receipt with your order. Postage these days is generally £3 - which covers the majority of goods I send out. However since April 2013, Royal Mail have increased the costs of packets that exceed a thickness of 8cm. This affects O-gauge wagons and 00 locomotives. As a result I have increased the cost of these items to cover the excess charge now in place. For example it now costs about £6.30 to send an O-gauge wagon to a UK address! This includes being signed for, upon receipt.
However if you wish to have some form of special delivery - eg Recorded or Signed For - then I will pass on that cost to you. I normally send UK mail by second class packet, which often gets to the customer as quick as first class does!
