New 00 Wagons

Planned for 2010 - 00 gauge
(F) means fictional or non-authentic

Late March 2010 Porter & Son, Marlow - two 8-plank wagons - none will be weathered as transfers will be used to give you a range to choose from.  One lot will be on a reddy-brown colour with numbers in the 'sixties' whilst the other lot will be a dark-grey colour with numbers in the 'one-twenties'.  Go to Hunts of Marlow to see the local club display, from where I got my inspiration.

April: Huntley & Palmers, Reading  Back on the drawing board will be a reproduction of a wagon I did in 2005 - but bearing a different number.  This is for the Loddon Vale Model Railway Show in Arborfield, Berkshire on May 8.

May: May: Edward Sutcliffe, Mirfield This 7-plank wagon has been requested by the organiser of a show in Mirfield near Wakefield on May 22, 2010.  He is a customer of mine, and this will be the first show in the town, designed to raise funds for the church choir.  The wagon is to be issued in 00 and N.

June: Teifi Valley Railway(F) This is another wagon that is designed to raise funds for the narrow-gauge railway that I am actively involved in, primarily as a guard.  This year there will be two cattle wagons released.  Identical to each other apart from the running numbers.  The wagon will allegedly (it is not authentic) feature GW cattle wagons specifically marked for use from Henllan station).   One of the wagons will bear the number "175" - to recognize that the GWR will be 175 years old in 2010.

July: Tonfanau Granite  This 4-plank wagon will be produced for the Harlech Scouts show. Based at Towyn, mid-Wales, this is a wagon from an area I am always getting requests for.
July: Cardigan Mercantile This 7-plank wagon was originally done by me in 2002, but 2010 marks the 900th Anniversary of the town and hence I plan on re-doing the wagon bearing the number 900.  As such it really is not authentic, but many of you will not have had the original one.

July: ??? Teifi Valley (F) This will be a wagon that replicates the wagon that I am restoring on the Teifi Valley – see my web site “Project 120”.  I am restoring the wagon in time for the gala day at the railway, and this model will replicate it.  I am not revealing it’s identity, as the real thing is intended to be a surprise on the day.  (subject to possible delay for a variety of reasons)

August: Isaac Roberts, Haverforwest This 7-plank wagon was originally done by me in N-gauge in 2009 but is now to be reproduced in 00 for the Aberaeron Show

August: Carmarthen & Cardigan Railway (F) This is a van to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the original railway company that opened its first line from the South Wales Railway at Carmarthen, to Conwil station in 1860.  The original intention was to get to Cardigan, but it didn’t happen.

September: September: Ministry of Munitions This 7-plank wagon has been requested by the Banbury model railway club for their show in September.  Based on wagons from Addersbury near Banbury.  The wagon is to be issued in 00 and N.

October: Rowland, Cardiff  This wagon will at last be released - having been on the 'drawing board' for some time.

November: Newcastle Emlyn Dairy (F) This will be a milk tanker labelled up for the milk/cheese factory in my home town.

December: Another Christmas Idea As normal I will be producing a wagon for your loved ones to give as a Christmas present.  I wonder what this one will be?  This will be done in N and 00.
